Product Description
Mississippi Red Bellied Muds are nicely rounded little turtles with red, orange or yellowish bellies, and light to dark brown shells.
Red Bellied Muds are omnivorous feeders. They will take pellets, insects, fish, crustaceans, meat, worms and some aquatic plants. Some are very docile and don’t mind being handled, others can be very feisty, but can tame down in time.
Shallow bottom foragers, they do well with other muds and musks and/or in community tanks with other species. Adults do well in larger tanks/enclosures or in outdoor ponds.
Not often available, Mississippi Red Bellied Mud Turtles are nice additions as a bottom of the community turtle, or even fish tanks.
